The Tamil Nadu Producers Council has officially announced that the suspension of the membership of actor-producer Vishal has been revoked since he has tendered an apology.

A few months back Vishal gave an interview to a popular Tamil weekly magazine in which he had criticised the inaction of producers's body in curbing piracy and other issues affecting film industry. The Producers Council objected to the comments made by Vishal in the interview and sought an explanation from him. Later the 'Pandiyanadu' actor was suspended from the producers council.

Vishal approached the Court against the suspension. The counsel representing the Producers body said that they will consider revoking the suspension if Vishal apologises for his comments about them. Within a day Vishal filed his regret for his comments in the interview through his lawyer. However the suspension was not revoked by the Council.

On Friday the Madras High Court urged the Producers Council to immediately revoke the suspension of the actor and induct him in their organisation failing which the Court will have to pass orders to the same effect.
