A 31-year-old woman suffering from tuberculosis since 2013 strangled her six-year-old daughter before hanging herself from the ceiling at her home in Mumbai. The woman was in depression due to the illness.

The husband came home that day and opened the door with the help of neighbours as it was bolted from inside. The police have lodged an accidental death case.
