Here is yet another Chandrasekhar Yeleti film raising the tempo with its very teaser. This human drama, involving mainly four characters, comes with the caption: One world, four stories. The teaser comes across as something which the makers had promised: Manamantha is a human drama with simple emotions and subtle sensibilities.

The four characters are at different phases in their life: childhood (Mahitha, a school girl), youth (Abhiram, an engineering student), and adulthood (Gayathri, a housewife and Sairam, an asst. manager at a supermarket).

The school girl saying "I want to be happy", Abhiram living in his own world, Gayathri looking for the respect which she got in a jewelry shop, and Sairam seemingly trying to escape out of his middle-class limitations - they all point out to what was said by the makers: In this small world, the choices we make often intersect and collide with the paths of others - creating endless ripples that change us forever. Mohanlal's character says this toward the end - "I forgot to live like a human".

Also starring Viswant, Raina Rao, Anisha Ambrose (of Run fame), Urvasi, Nassar, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Vennela Kishore, Dhanraj, Praveen, Naveen Neni, Harshavardhan, Ayyappa P Sharma, etc.

The film is produced by Sai Korrapati. Music is by Mahesh Shankar. Cinematography is by Rahul Sreevasthav. This bi-lingual will be released as Vismayam in Malayalam. In Tamil, it will be released as a dubbed version as Namadhu.
