The teaser of Rojulu Marayi, released today, says one thing for sure. That Maruthi is out to present girls and boys who defy stereotypes (or maybe reinforce in some cases) or break shibboleths like in coming-of-age rom-coms. The story of "two innocent boys" and "two intelligent girls" means that the former are bumbling, while the latter are smart. Whether one of the guys will be made a bakra by one of the girls (is the word intelligent a euphemism for cunning?) is to be seen.

The lead pair - Chetan Maddineni, Parvatheesam, Kruthika and Tejaswi - are impressive in the teaser. The film is written by Maruthi (story and screenplay) and is directed by Murali Krishna Mudidani. The film sees the coming together of Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Maruthi Talkies, and G Srinivasa Rao.

Dil Raju, the film's presenter, took it upon himself to stand by Rojulu Marayi. One can conclude that the subject has substance.

Ali, Posani Krishna Murali, Raja Ravindra, Vasu Intoori, Jabardasth Appa Rao, Sashank, and others are part of the cast.

Dialogues are by Ravi Namboori. Music is by JB.
