UK police have arrested two teenagers for a spate of acid attacks on moped riders in London. The duo attacked five riders in less than 90 minutes, leaving the victims with gruesome burns and injuries.

The first victim had acid thrown across his face and his moped stolen. Within the next hour and a half, three more men were attacked in a similar fashion, one of them left with an injury which the police described as life changing.

The assailants were a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old men. Victims include food delivery men.

In an interview to a radio station, Police Commissioner Cressida Dick condemned acid attacks and said that, although they were rare, the government would take steps to ensure the number of attacks did not go up.
