Actor and president of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam is now caught in a tangle. Vijayakanth built a massive wedding hall near the Koyambedu junction. For some time, his fan club functioned from there.

After he formed a political outfit, he built a party office adjacent to his marriage hall.

Now, the National Highways department is said to have issued a notice to the actor informing him that the structure would be razed down for construction of a fly-over in the locality.

The Highway department authorities have summoned Vijayakanth's wife Premalatha (the legal owner of the land) to appear at the Poonamallee Taluk office next month.

Vijayakanth is till camping in southern districts and could not be contacted for any comments. Sources close to him said the future course of action would be decided once he returns to Chennai.
