Thala Ajith has a special knack of pulling off dual roles. Most of his dual role flicks have been super hits. The last time we saw him in two avatars was for director Saran's 'Asal' that released in 2010.

At present the much loved star is working on his 57th film tentatively titled as 'AK 57' which is being directed by Siva. Unconfirmed sources suggest that Thala has a surprise dual role in the film.

However it must be noted that the film's producer Thyagarajan of Sathya Jyothi Films banner has revealed the plot of the film saying " A crime takes place in Tamil Nadu and the investigation of its origin leads to European nations. This is the plot of the film and the protagonist (Ajith) is an Interpol officer in-charge, investigating this crime."

It is impossible to figure out what can be the second character of Ajith if at all there is a dual role for the lead actor such a story. However Tamil cinema is not averse to spawning surprises and hence we can not completely rule of a possibility a dual 'Thala' treat in 'AK 57'.

Having said that, let us wait for either for an official confirmation or the film's release to know whether this information is true or not.
