Right from Diwali the heavy rains that battered Chennai and other parts brought normal life to a grounding, halt, but had no effect on the collections of Thala Ajith's 'Vedalam' which is said to be racing towards becoming his biggest hit.

Ajith is recovering from a knee surgery and he had earlier decided to go to London to take rest for a few months, but reports coming in suggest that the box office king has decided to stay back in Chennai as he did not want to miss his extended family and close circle of friends for a long period. Speculations are rife that Siruthai Siva might direct a film with Thala and Sivakarthikeyan that is to begin during summer 2016.
