Director Samuthirakani has a verified account on twitter and uses it only to post his views on important issues. However a fake person using his id has been around for a long time and even during the Jallikattu days caused confusion for the writer director who promptly lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities.

The fake "Samuthirakani` is now capitalizing on the Vivegam` teaser launch fever to grab attention amongst Thala fans and has posted tweets as though from the original creator.
