Thalapathy Vijay is "Maruthuvar Thilagam" & a 'Mersal' update

A leaked image from Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' directed by Atlee reveals a banner of Vijay in his doctor getup that reads "Maruthuvar Thilagam" Maaran revealing the name of one of his characters. Vijay apparently plays a doctor with a heart of gold with Kajal Agarwal as his love interest.

In the other two of his triple characters Vijay reportedly plays a rural politician and a magician. 'Mersal', a grand Diwali attraction this year is produced by Thenandal Studios, music scored by A.R. Rahman with a dream cast of Vijay, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal, Nithya Menen, Vadivelu, S.J.Surya, Sathyan and Sathyaraj.
