It looks like Karan's 'Thambi Vettothi Sundaram' will see light of the day on November 11. The film has been given an 'A' certificate from the censor board.

A Kanyakumari-based association had earlier protested against the movie, alleging that it had portrayed the region and its people in bad light. The Tamil Film Producers Council stepped in and cleared all the hurdles and ensured it got a green signal.

"We have watched the film. It has in fact glorified a personality called Thambi Vettothi Sundaram. His life and that of the people in Kanyakumari district have been portrayed in a beautiful way," said TFPC treasurer, Kalaipuli S Thanu.

It may be mentioned that two more small films, 'Koncham Chirippu Koncham Koppam' and 'Naa Sivan Agiren' is touted to see light of the day on November 11. These two films along with Karan's 'TVS' will be the first three Tamil releases after Diwali.
