As we wrote in the trailer review of 'Venkatapuram', Rahul of 'Happy Days' seems to be out to reinvent himself with 'Venkatapuram'. Playing a suspicious-looking Pizza delivery boy in this thriller, he shares screen space with debutante Mahima Makhwana.

"Rahul's face wasn't revealed completely in the poster, which created curiosity. The trailer gives a sneak peek into the world of Venkatapuram where we don't know who the hero is and who the villain is. Rahul has gone for a complete makeover. His brand new avatar could give Rahul's career a big push in the industry," the film's spokesperson says.

"Several bigwigs in the industry have been making enquiries about the film and its pre-release business too is progressing at a brisk pace. Of late, films which break the routine formula of commercial cinema are being appreciated by the audience and 'Venkatapuram' is expected to be in this category of films banking on distinct content. The makers are planning to release the film in the first week of March," he adds.

Director Venu Madikanti has an interesting murder mystery to tell, going by the trailer. From a cop who will go to any extent to solve the mystery to another cop (played by Ajay) who seems to have an ulterior motive, from a male lead who looks innocuous (on the surface) to a heroine who wants a one-day boy friend, the story has all the trappings of a pot boiler, we hope.

Above all, it's inspired by a true story.
