The beginning of the film `Thipparahalli Tharlegalu' is similar to the off screen problems faced by director SV Rajendra Singh Babu in connection to the IDBI loan he acquired for the film.

Rest of the film is a big bore with no logic and lacks substance. The concern shown to black money is appreciable. This is not the Rajendra Singh Babu we have seen in films like Bandhana, Muthina Hara, Hoovu Hannu, Kothigalu, Kurigalu and Kathegalu series of comedy films.

The scenes are unconnected and for the heck of making a film this film has been completed with no systematic approach in the narration.

A Dhobi, Tailor and Barber (Omprakash Rao, Komal Kumar and S Narayan respectively) hit by the depression in love as they are not able to return the loan find measures to earn a decent life but that is a distant dream for hapless youths. The three commoners in the society find bags full of money deviated by a crooked politician and arrive at a decision to pass the corrupt money to the people via development works in the society what the government cannot do.

Efficiently they hide the money and the problem they get now is how to use the money. They are struck with Kanwarlal (Ambarish) and approach him after he returns from his term in the prison. In the avatar of NRI Kanwarlal uses the crores of Rupees for development of society and later put down the corrupt politician.

The film gets a lift once Ambarish enters in the second half. Fiery dialogues and breezy performance of Ambarish is a treat for his fans. S Narayan, Komalkumar and Omprakash Rao are passable. Umasri lecture on the present system is also boring. Sadhu Kokila is a strain on the nerves.

There are no good songs from MN Krupakar and cinematography by BL Babu is just OK.
