One very big, one moderate and one very small budget films are hitting the silver screen this week.

It is a good come back to Dr Ambarish as his first release after becoming an MLA is releasing. That is ‘Bul Bul’ with challenging star Darshan. Already jubilant mood is there for ‘Bul Bul’ a remake of Telugu film ‘Darling’ (2010 Telugu movie of Prabhas and Kajan Agarwal) is seven minutes more in duration in Kannada version.

It is such a coincidence that the song ‘Darling Darling….is very famous in ‘Madarangi’ Kannada cinema of newcomers but the film of Ambarish, Darshan and Rachita Ram starring ‘Bul Bul’ is carbon copy of Telugu cinema ‘Darling’.

Such being the condition the high point of ‘Bul Bul’ is that the words are uttered by Ambarish in his first film ‘Nagarahavu’ in 1972. The catch line for this title is ‘Mathadakilva’….it all came in flow ‘En Bul Bul Mathadakilva… in the yesteryears film. Interestingly this is the first combination of Darshan and Ambarish.

The notable point from ‘Bul Bul’ is that challenging star Darshan has given the call sheet to five technicians of the film – director MD Sridhar, music director V Harikrishna, lyricist Kaviraj, cameraman Krishna Kumar and to his brother Dinakar Toogudeepa. The profits earned from this big budget is shared by the five persons who have not taken any remuneration for the film.

From this film ‘Bul Bul’ the new audio house of top music director V Harikrishna ‘D Beats’ has also taken birth. Kaviraj besides writing songs has also penned dialogues. Sounder Raj is editor, Mallikarjun is assistant director and taken charge of distribution under Toogudeepa Productions. Ravi Verma in stunts, Ishwari Kumar in art have worked for this film.

In the supporting cast Ashok, Chitra Shenoy, Sharan, Ramesh Bhat, Sihikahi Chandru, Sadhu Kokila, Tennis Krishna and others are in the cast.

‘Madarangi’ a film made in Krishna Talkies is hitting the screen on Thursday in some parts of Northern Karnataka and in over 75 theatres in other parts on Friday.

Krishna is emerging as macho hero in this film. He has made a very calculative move. He has experience of acting and learnt tricks of the trade from the commercial movies. It seems to be a triangular love story with Sushma Raj and Naksha Shetty. Mallikarjuna Muthelgeri is the director. Anoop Seelin music is already rocking in the market with Darling Darling….song reaching top. Girish is making debut as cameraman from this film.

Krishna the debut hero father Nagappa is the producer in Krishna Talkies. Krishna sister Nandini is costume designer for the film. In the supporting cast are Sadhu Kokila, Avinash, Srinivas Prabhu, Kuri Pratap and others, Sri is editor, Different Danny handled stunts, Murali is choreographer.

‘Naavu Geleyaru’ a children film by SS Enterprises is another release of the week. Veteran GK Mudduraj has written the story, screenplay and also produced the film. Dhanush is cameraman and V Manohar has scored music. B Mallesh has written dialogues, Ramnarayan and Raju Mysore have written lyrics.

Master Anitha, Kiran, Thejas, Kaushik, Chandan Bandi, Swathi, Krishne Gowda, Ninasam Ashwath, Maruthi Raj and others are in the cast.
