What is common between Ram Charan, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Nani? They have all been to the US post/before the release of 'Dhruva', 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and 'Nenu Local', respectively.

It was in the US theatres that Cherry watched the Premieres along with the audience. The move was largely interpreted as aimed at promoting 'Dhruva' in the crucial segment, especially because he hadn't had a million dollar movie in that market. 'Dhruva', in contrast, catapulted itself into the league rather effortlessly.

Days after the release of his Sankranthi historical, Balayya, Krish and Shriya Saran were to that country to promote their prestigious venture. The collections were buoyant right from Premiere shows and Balayya saw his first ever USD 1 Million and USD 1.5 Million movie.

Cut to February, Nani will be there to watch the premieres and other shows in the following days. Although he is admittedly not there to promote 'Nenu Local' (he is there to participate in a film shoot), the same has come to be seen as a move to expand his base in that crucial market. Releasing on Feb 3rd, 'NL' is directly from Dil Raju and you can imagine why the strategy and timing are spot on.

In the coming months and years, expect more heroes to catch up with this sexy strategy.
