Telangana's Cinematography Minister Talasani Yadav has said that stringent action will be taken against those film industry people who get convicted in the drugs case. The Government will work with the industry's representatives in putting sanctions on them.

The Minister has refuted the view that Tollywood has now got divided into two camps over the drugs issue. Saying that drugs abuse is individual, Talasani drove home the message that it's not proper to attribute the scourge to the industry per se.

He opined that the inaction of the previous governments has aggravated the issue. The Chief Minister of Telangana is very keen on cracking the whip on the drugs cartels in the State, the Minister said.
