The past few weeks was very eventful for Kerala Box office, with all the movies that were released for Ramzan making profits. It is after a few years that all the movies released for a season managed to become hits. The top 5 movies are listed below.

1. 'Shikaar'- After a dull half year Superstar Mohanlal has finally managed to create a big hit in ‘Shikaar’. The opening of the movie was phenomenal which helped it to bring back the money spent on it in a matter of two weeks. The movie which made around 8 crores from 62 centers in two weeks has already been announced as a big hit. But the last week has shown some declining trends with collections dipping down to 30-40 percent, except on weekends.

2. 'Elsamma Enna Aankutty’- The dark horse of the Ramzan release seems to be ‘Elsamma Enna Aankutty' which had managed to become a safe earner, even without the support of any of the superstars. The movie by Lal Jose featuring Boban Kunchakko, Aan Agustine and Indrajith has already raked in 3.5 crore gross from two weeks. The movie is showing an increasing trend in terms of collections in the last week.

3. 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'-This Mammootty starrer directed by Ranjith is becoming a safe film in terms of collections. An unconventional movie with different narratives, the movie has Priyamani and Innocent in lead roles with Mammootty. The movie now continues in 30 centers in its fourth week.

4. 'Vande Matharam'- The bilingual 'Vande Matharam' featuring Mammootty and Arjun hasn't created any big movements in the box office. The movie is already declared a flop and may not succeed in bringing back the capital spent on it. The poor scripting and narrative patterns also add to the woes of the movie.

5. 'Yakshyum Njaanum' - Vinayan's 'Yakshyum Njaanum' remains in very few theatres ending up as an average flick. With the arrival of ‘Endhiran’ to theatres today which is expected to make a bumper opening, the Box Office listings will make a considerable change next week.
