What is it all about?

'phittey moonh...' E (E Niwas) koi film hai.. such cinematic `gaban' of the `Aman' thingies that is being tried for long... E Niwas who made us laugh with `Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega' and touched our sentiments with `Shool' does a `bhool' (read mistake) over here.

Total Siyappa is though energetic from its acting point of view the premise is tedious and weird.. what to expect from a supposed comedy where an actor like Anupam Kher walks on the streets of London in long johns with gaping eyes hoping a cross border appeal despite a cluttered, boring non comical Nile created in `Total Siyappa'.

Based on Dominic Harari's `Only Human' NeerajPandey as the writer does the settings alright in the plot which has a loud Punjabi Mom (Kirron Kher), a `mast' elder daughter Jia (Sara Khan), younger brother Manav (Anuj Pandit) who loves to hate Pakistanis, Aisha's father (Anupam Kher), grandfather ( V M Badola) retired hurt Indo Pak war survivor who is hoping for another war with Pakistan and a cute little devil Jia's daughter.

Aisha (Yami Gautam) takes her fiance Aman (Ali Zafar) a Pakistani to meet her Indian Punjabi family in London who hate Pakistan. All set for a crazy funny mayhem. Aman's Pakistani existence is exposed and heel breaks loose all is fine till the soup container hits the passerby down street afterwards the makers are clueless on how to take it forward anyway the passerby happens to be Aisha's father who is lost and we find him wandering on the streets of London in long Johns before that he had just being with a hooker believing to be his wife.. while the family is searching for him.

It may sound interesting when you read but the problem over here is the execution which fails to make us giggle after initial tickles. The paranoid police officer somewhat modeled from Mr. Beans mannerisms who only hears bomb and Pakistanis is funny..

The cast do their job. Kirron Kher is typical as she was supposed to be for the role. Ali Jaffar okay. Yami decent. Anupam Kher annoying, Sara Khan pretty and Badola fine. It will better for the highly talented Neeraj Pandey to `palat' (go back) to the genre he is known for. As a writer such comedies are not his cup of tea.
