The release of actress Trisha's first ever heroine-oriented flick 'Nayagi' has been delayed for various reasons. Finally the long wait for thee fans of the former Ms.Chennai has come to a close as the film has been confirmed to hit the screens this Friday (September 16)

'Nayagi' has been directed by debutant Govi. The film stars Trisha in the titular role while the other important characters are played by Sushma Raj. Ganesh Venkatraman, Satyam Rajesh, Brahmanandam, Manobala, Kovai Sarala and many others.

Raghu Kunche has rendered the musical score for the film and Trisha for the first time has lent her voice for a song. The film has been produced by Giridhar Mamidipally and Padmaja Mamidipally under Giridhar Production house banner and it will distributed across Tamil Nadu by Sri Thenandal Films banner.

The Telugu version of the film titled as 'Nayaki' released on July 29 and was panned by critics.
