There was a brouhaha in the industry when Trisha's fan club came up with cut-outs and posters besides putting up flags in all theatres where Something Something was released.

But now there is something of an anticlimax. Trisha on Wednesday denied reports that it was done with her permission.

In an interview, Trisha said, ‘A group of people wanted to start a fan club for me. I agreed to it. However putting up posters and flags bearing my images were done without my permission.'

Going further she said, 'I am not against fan clubs. However instead of glorifying their favorite actor or actress, they should indulge in social service activities and help the needy and the poor'.

She also denied media reports that she is planning a plunge in politics.

'The life span of an actress is very short in the filmdom. Understanding this well, I would rather concentrate on my career and do quality movies and establish my name in the industry'.

She is currently acting in a couple of Telugu movies including one's opposite Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu and with Vikram in Bheema.
