James Mathew Bradley Jr. of San Antonio faces trial for illegally transporting dozens of immigrants in his tractor-trailer. More than eight of immigrants died inside the tractor due to suffocation and heat.

The 60-year-old driver said that he was unaware of the people inside the vehicle. The vehicle was discovered outside a Walmart shop. Police said eight people already dead in the truck, two died while hospitalized, and several others have "irreversible brain damage". Bradley said that he had sold the truck and was delivering it after cleaning and polishing it. No noise from inside the truck was reported at the different stops Bradley made for the truck to be cleaned.

He opened the doors after hearing noises while at Walmart and was "knocked down" by 'Spanish' people. This incident highlights the issue of undocumented immigrants being transported in inhumane conditions.
