'10 Endrathukulla' and 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' the two grand Aayudha Pooja releases in Kollywood this year have had a tremendous opening

Yesterday it was officially confirmed that the VIkram-Samantha starrer '10 Endrathukulla' has collected Rs.6.5 crores in India alone and this became the biggest opening day collection of a film with VIkram as hero.

Dhaunush the producer of Vijay Sethupathi-Nayanthara starrer 'Naanum Rowdy Dhaan' revealed in his twitter page that the Vignesh Sivan directed film has collected Rs.2.16 crores in Tamil Nadu, considered as the biggest ever opening for Vijay Sethupathi.

Controversy erupted as Twitter users alleged that the producers of '10 Endrathukulla'made bogus claims on the film's first day box office performance. Things got worse as Dhanush retweeted a message claiming that the actual first day collection of the Vijay Milton directorial was Rs.2.92 crores. Dhanush deleted it later and claimed that he mistakenly retweeted the post about '10EK' while he was busy retweeting the tweets praising 'NRD'.

A few hours later an official statement from '10 Endrathukulla Team' confirmed that the Producers Fox Star Studios and A.R.Murugadoss Productions stand by their claim on the collections made by their film.

"There have been various debates on the collections of numbers which have been shared. Its a sincere request to all media personnel to check with a proper trade source or theaters themselves before commenting on the collections of our film versus any other film. The brands involved in the film are of very high repute and stand by whatever information we share with media. We have released a film which we are all proud of and with a lot of hard work and passion. We have had a wide release across all markets with about 650 screens in India with most of the bigger screens and have had a fantastic opening."

With this clarification the controversy over the collections of both the film have come to rest. We dearly hope both '10EK' and 'NRD' that are running as houseful shows in all the screens, emerge successful at the box office.
