Finally, the cat is out of the bag! Few days back while speaking to a media house, director Gautham Vasudev Menon had expressed that ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ will be different from its Tamil – Telugu versions, ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ (VTV) and ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ (YMC).

It kept people wondering for while VTV (with Simbu, Trisha) had the duo parting ways and Simbu directing a film on her, YMC ended on a happy note with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha joining hands and standing against their parents. So audiences were, of course, curious of what could be the other climax which does away from these two.

Now, as ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ is gearing up for a February 17 release Gautham has expressed that the film will have two different climaxes! For the first time in our country, a film is releasing with two different climaxes at once! Most of the theatres will have one ending while elite screens will have what can be called the ‘Director’s Cut’! The theatre ads will highlight whether it’s a mass ending or the director’s cut as well!

This way Gautham aims to cater to both the masses and the elite class as well. Quite a novice attempt indeed…
