Kamal Haasan is always known to boldly speak for what he believes in without worrying about the consequences he usually has to face. The Ulaganayagan throwing his weight against the jallikattu ban may have surprised many, but few will know that he is a qualified jallikattu veeran.

Kamal has revealed that he owned three bulls and he honored them by having them on stage as chief guests at the Virumaandi` audio launch. He said that all three died without facing any harm and he also never chains his dogs, but lets them roam freely in his house. Kamal put emphasis on the fact that the sportsmen love the animals and embrace them unlike the Spanish Matadors who cruelly provoke the bulls to a rage and kill them.
