After a long gap, actress Urvasi ventured to Malayalam with Achuvinte Amma. Now she plays opposite Jayaram in Madhuchandralekha. The duo had earlier combined to give several hits.

Speaking about her role in Madhuchandralekha, she says, 'I'm playing a humorous role of Chandramathi, a simple woman who has lot of complexes about her husband. This is one of those films that you'll enjoy watching.'

On Achuvinte Amma, she says, 'it was a good film with ample scope for me to perform. When Sathyan Andhikad offered me the role I was initially hesitant because I thought he might end up having to make some changes in the story. I even wondered if the audience will accept me as Meera Jasmine's mom.'

But things worked out fine. Achuvinte Amma is a minor classic of the times.
