Users become terrified as Facebook and Instagram go offline

Just imagine life without social networking sites, scary right? The nightmare turned true for many as two of Internet's giant social networking companies Facebook and Instagram went offline for almost two hours causing massive panic to users. A network problem seem to have triggered the issue which caused both the networking sites to go offline with users not able to access Facebook pages, some were not able to browse specific pages. The Europe and North America region were the worst hit zones considering the timing of the network issue. A hashtag #FACEBOOKDOWN started trending on twitter. The Facebook messenger service was not hit by the network issue and continued to work as normal.
