UTV Motion Pictures has confirmed multi-starrer ‘Vettai’ as a Pongal release. This film stars Arya, Madhavan, Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy in the lead roles and has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Now it has been confirmed as a Pongal 2012 release

Both the teaser and the theatrical trailer of this film have created expectations among movie goers, thanks to Lingusamy’s slick direction and that star value the film holds. The film saw a starry audio launch recently which was a gala event and the songs have been received well by music critics and Yuvan’s fans, with ‘Papappa…’ topping the charts.

Now, Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that the movie will release in more than 500 screens worldwide this Pongal! UTV who are known for their unique marketing skills, will promote the film aggressively come new year.
