Uyyala Jampala

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

It's a very rare event that happens in Telugu film industry when legendary production houses like Annapurna and Suresh Productions come together to support a small, tasteful producer like Ram Mohan in making a meaningful film. The last such event could be remembered is 'Pelli Sandadi' but again it had the ace director KRR behind the wheel.

`Uyyala Jampala' could provide you with a template, a case for more replication irrespective of its success or failure at the Box Office. Big names supporting a small film would always give the film the much needed pre-release impetus which otherwise is lacking.

While established actors provide you with a promise, debutantes trigger your imagination and keep your curiosity on a high. `Uyyala Jampala' has the hero Raj Tarun, heroine Anandi and the director Virinchi Varma, all debuting with this film. The lead pair looks quite tender, perfect for a teenage love story, the village backdrop looks to depict a new and unseen angle on the screen. The makers have assured a surprise package in the hero Raj Tarun though its usually the female actors that keep you anticipating.

Music is sweet, wonderful production values expected, the trailers have created a good enough buzz and it all looks assuring the audience a sensitive love tale of childhood sweethearts and lots of nostalgic memories to take back home. Keep watching this space for more.
