Vaagai Sooda Vaa

Thursday, January 1, 1970 • Tamil Comments

'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' is a take on the 1960s. This period film is directed by Sargunam and will see Vimal and Iniya playing the leads. The story of the film deals with a village school master falling in love with a girl he comes across working in a tea stall.

Even before the film's shooting began the director and his team sat together and brought out a miniature village of what the director had in mind. Later a distant village which did not have any hint of development like not having any electric poles or lines, were picked and the miniature village was made into a huge and impressive set with some 20-25 huts.

The film has a rustic feel to it and from the previews that have come out the movie will take the audience on a time-machine that will flashback to the 1960s. Special care has been taken for the look and make up of all the artists.

'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' is produced by the director's close friend Muruganandham and the music for the film is by yet another close friend Gibran. The music release for 'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' was held recently and was a grand event with many popular names from the industry taking part in the music launch. The first music disc was released by director Bharathi Raja and was graciously accepted by director K. Bhagyaraj.

'Vaagai Sooda Vaa' will hit theatres soon and will appeal to the audience differently. It is one sure runner for some awards in future...
