After a break of two years, actor-comedian Vadivelu is making a comeback with his film 'Jagajala Pujabala Tenaliraman', directed by Yuvaraj of 'Potta Poti' fame. In an interaction with the media, on the first look of the film, Yuvaraj disclosed that Vadivelu will be playing two roles - one as the Tenaliraman and another as the king. Says Yuvaraj "Since this is not a biopic on the historic character, we have not typically retold the Tenaliraman stories, though his attitude has been used a great deal to draw inspiration from.

Further, Vadivelu also plays the king, but we have refrained from naming the king, to keep it simple. Although the veteran has not been active for the past two years, it seems like no deterrent to his performance which is flawless even after the long gap." Meenakshi Dixit of 'Madurai Ponnu' fame is playing the princess in this film, and we hear that Yuvaraj trained the classical dancer with the films of yesteryear actresses Bhanumathi and Vyjayanthi Mala to get the poise of her character right.
