Kollywood’s star comedian Vadivelu, who has been coming down heavily on DMDK president Vijayakanth while electioneering for the ruling DMK-led alliance, will end his campaign at Rishivandhyam, where the ‘Captain’ is testing waters.

“Since Vadivelu’s rivalry with Vijayakanth is the main reason behind his hitting the campaign trail for the 13 April Assembly polls, Vadivelu has decided to complete his tour at Rishivandhyam,” sources say.

“During the last day of campaign at Vijayakanth’s constituency (April 11), Vadivelu, who will seek votes in support of the Congress candidate, will launch a fresh new tirade against the Captain,” they add.

Meanwhile, Vadivelu was on Thursday forced to wind up his campaign in Sri Rangam, from where AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa is contesting, after two chappals were thrown at him allegedly by DMDK men.

Vadivelu was just about to leave the place after canvassing support for N Anand, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate for Srirangam, when the incident took place.
