Comedy seems to be the trend with Kollywood witnessing back to back movies that tickle you off in a light hearted manner. With a rookie director who knows the way of film making through the roots of the family and a bunch of fresh, energetic crew October 11th marks the opening of Vannakam Chennai. The movie weighs equal strength on all departments, to start with Shiva! This year is proving out to be a good one for this comical actor, with the exception of "Ya Ya" all his movies have come out good and evoked laughter, which has been his main agenda. He has slowly but steadily built a niche fan base among the youth, so watch out yet again to steal the show. Kirkthiga Udhaynidhi Stalin is making her debut with VC, although she needs no formal intro in movie making! Her short film "Life" received tremendous response in International arena and now turning her attention to her homeland with a commercial gimmick is something special indeed. Priya Anand, the lovely Chennai girl is having a toast with Ethirneechal hit; she is expected to continue her bubbly run. The role as we hear is a meaty one filled with surprises and freshness. And then there is Santhanam as well. Already a movie touted to cream up the glass with fun, and then there is the icy filling of this comedian on the top! The trailer gives us a small glimpse of what's in the store, a neat romcom with apt elements of an entertainer. Post second half Santhanam is set to take the stage along with the two, and what more can you expect? Another foremost factor that should drive you to the theatres is Anirudh! The youngster's music is vibrant with a mix of everything in today's age. He has made use of Hard Kaur, Hip Hop Tamizhan, Arjun and more. The music is a hit of all sorts, and we can't just to watch it along with the visuals. Udhaynidhi stalin needs no introduction when it comes to marketing his movies, and this will be a stroll in the play area for him.
