Back to back hits in Ethirneechal and Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga had attached the 'Star in the Making' tag to Television anchor turned actor Siivakarthikeyan. His latest outing Varuthapadadha Valibar Sangam a comedy caper set at a rural background did not fail to woo the audience. This Ponram directed film which saw Sivakarthikeyan pairing up with new comer Sridivya and Satyaraj playing a pivotal role completes its 50 days run in theaters today.

The film produced by Escape Artists' Madhan is said to have grossed more than 35 crores at the box office and it is considered a bigger hit than Ethineechal and KBKR. Sivakarthikeyan's comical timing and also his pairing up with comedian Soori made it a laugh riot whcih could sustain the as many screens even after a slew of other releases in the past few weeks. D.Iman's peppy numbers and Balasubramaniem's lens which added the native feel to the film have contributed well to the success of this small budget venture.
