Debutant director Vasantha Balan is wielding the megaphone for Veyyil, a movie being produced by his mentor Shankar.

Vasantha Balan had been working with Shankar for the past few years. He branched out to direct a film titled Album , a few years ago.

Unfortunately the movie failed.

He is keen to render a success through Veyyil. The good news for Vasantha Balan is that even before he could complete his Veyyil, actor-director S J Suryah had listened to a script by Vasantha Balan and was hugely impressed. He has promised to act in the movie.

Once Veyyil is completed, Suryah's film would go to theatres. All the best for Vasantha Balan in his second innings.
