Vasanthabalan’s ‘realistic film ‘Angadi Theru’ was all for praises when the movie was screened at the 41st International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that was held from November 22 to December 2 at Goa.

The movie that was produced by Ayngaran International and released early this year did exceptionally well at the box office as well reaffirming faith in the audience.

At the film festival ‘Angadi Theru’ was screened on November 27 and had a repeat show December 1 as well. Both the screenings were thoroughly enjoyed by the discerning film buffs. Legendary film maker Govind Nihalani personally applauded Vasanthabalan for such making a wonderful film.

It may be remembered that ‘Angadi Theru’ was a tough contender for the Indian submissions for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
