Some years back when a film called 'Jungle' starring Fardeen Khan as the hero was announced from the Ram Gopal Varma's production company, everyone thought it to be a film inspired from the life of the notorious forest bandit Veerapan.

The maverick director's intentions on making a film on the life of the dreaded forest robber was known in the Bollywood circles even before Fardeen Khan's movie got released.

The title 'Jungle' mislead people into believing that this is the Ram Gopal Varma's long talked about film on Veerapan.

There was no dearth of rumours of Ram Gopal Varma going to make a movie on the most wanted bandit in India even in the subsequent years.

The buzz has started again after remaining silent for some time.

The latest news is that Mr.Varma is considering taking up the Veerapan project again and the movie will based on his life till he was killed by the special task force in 2004 in an encounter.

Considering Veerapan's life filled with encounters and adventures, he is certainly someone who would be loved to be seen by film lovers as a character in the big screen.

And who will be better to direct the life story of a self proclaimed king of Jungles than Ram Gopal Varma when we consider the expertise, talent and technique of this director in presenting movies based on realities.
