Prakash Raj is one of the very few film personalities, who have a penchant for creativity. A talent spotted by K Balachander, Prakash Raj proved that he is not just a good actor but also a shrewd producer.

His production ventures like Azhagiya Theeyae, Kanda Naal Muthal and Mozhi were off-beat and at the same time money spinners. The films added new variety to Tamil cinema for, they had style and substance written all over them.

Continuing his pursuit to churn out clean entertainers, Prakash Raj will commence shooting for his next production venture Vellithirai. A remake of Malayalam hit Udhyananu Tharam, the movie features Prakash Raj, Prithviraj and Gopika in lead roles.

Directed by Viji, Vellithirai will be completed in one go and would be released this September.

On the film, Prakash Raj says, “Everyone knows about the lifestyle of actors, actresses and directors, who had succeeded in cinema. But many of us did not know about the other side of the tinsel world, which is full of pains and sorrow. Vellithirai will throw light on that dark side”.

Speaking about director Viji, Prakash Raj said, “The dialogues by Viji in Azhagiya Theeye and Mozhi identified him as a good creator. He will surely make it big as a director in Vellithirai”.
