'Venkatapuram': The race continues

The first film to brave the 'Baahubali' wave this season was 'Venkatapuram'. Released on May 5, the thriller opened to very good figures in the first weekend. Written and directed by debutante Venu Madikanti, the film is continuing its good run and is fast racing towards completing a successful 25 days.

Starring Rahul and Mahima in lead roles, 'Venkatapuram' is based on a true incident. The narration style has worked for the movie, more than the story line. Ajay Ghosh and Ajay as cops have added to the success quotient.

Brought out by Shreyas Media and Good Cinema Group, the film has got critical acclaim, while Achu's music too has contributed to the success.
