At the success meet held today in Hyderabad to thank the audience for making 'Guru' a hit, 'Victory' Venkatesh spoke his heart out.

"This film was an endeavour to do something honest and with conviction. My friends, relatives and industry people are appreciating the film. It was a collective team effort to produce the best output. I worked hard for this role. I have myself felt monotonous over the years. That's why I wanted to try something new. Sudha Kongara came to me with the script at the right time. Although I have done many films and won accolades and awards over the last 30 years, 'Guru' will still be a special movie to me. I whole-heartedly thank the audience for making this film a big hit," Venky said.

Ritika Singh, the film's heroine, said, "I am very lucky to have debuted in Tollywood with a well-appreciated movie like 'Guru'. Direction is difficult. And what is even more difficult is to do a film with a novice like me. Sudha garu made the film with a beautiful story".

Mumtaz Sorcar expressed happiness over being part of the 'Guru' family.

"Directing a movie is one of the toughest tasks. This is the third toughest task. I used to wake up in the middle of night and wonder if what I was doing was correct. All those obstacles are now behind me. I can't forget the support given to me by producer Sashikanth. Venkatesh's dedication was another major motivation. Ritika and Mumtaz have travelled with me for four years," director Sudha said.

The producer described Venkatesh as the producer's hero. "He thinks like a producer first. Then he thinks as an assistant director. Only later does he think like an actor," he further said.
