It's a move towards genuine cinema. A group of youngsters have come together to render a film that not just promises to be touchy but has everything in it to entertain the common man. Expected to cash in on the tastes and preferences of audiences, director Susindhran is coming up with a flick titled 'Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu'
 
Kabbadi - a valorous sport that has bound Tamils together for several centuries is quite a popular and engrossing sport. The sport is popular especially in rural areas and is the life and soul for many. When a movie is churned with Kabbadi as the crux one gets the feeling that there would be abundance in rural flavor comprising of camaraderie and challenges. The film vouches to be one that would lure youngsters and elders alike. The director is confident that even with unknown faces the story has the potential to enthrall audiences ..after all Content is the real King.
 
The film marks the debut of Vishnu, son of top police officer IG Ramesh Koduwala as hero and veteran Ghatam Vidhwan Vikku Vinayakram's son Selvaganesh as the music director. The latter has made waves as the audio launched recently is finding favor with its refreshing tunes. The song 'Laesa Parakkudhu' is already topping the charts.

The director should be thanking his producer Anand Chakravarthy who spontaneously agreed to go ahead with the film since it is fresh and new.
 
Young Saranya Mohan who is fast rising to fame plays the female lead. Saranya said, 'it is about the travails and emotions among friends who form a Kabbadi team. My character is very important in the story. I play a village girl who has to emote more expressions than dialogues. 'Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu' has an excellent team and a strong script'.
 
It's a village-based theme and revolves around a group of youngsters who want to make it really big in the sport. The events that unfold in their lives form the crux.
 
Sources say though Kabbadi forms part of the movie, the film is not championing the sport as such. It is all about human emotions. Life in rural Tamilnadu.
 
With a strong faith in Tamil audiences, who are receptive to good films, the producer has emboldened the director to come out with an original concept.
 
Na Muthukumar, Snehan, J. Francis Kiruba and Karthiknetha (lyrics), J. Laxman Kumar (cinematography) and G C Anandan (art direction) have worked for the film as well.
