Venu Nagavally, the actor turned director who has been keeping away from films, is returning after a gap of eight years. His new film is titled Suhruthu which stars Mukesh, Padmapriya, Urvasahi and Jagathy in lead roles.

The venture will also be a comeback film for Cherian Kalpakavadi who is writing the scripts for Venu Nagavally, who is also his mentor, after a long time.

“The film tells the story of a man left isolated in a room after the death of his wife. Like Sathyan Anthikkad and Lohithadas, I am also trying to bring back the typical Malayalam film, back to its elements ', says Venu about his new film.

The musical section of the film will be handled by Alex Paul and O N V Kurup--both coming together for the first time.

The film will start its shooting in and around Thiruvanathapuram, within a few weeks.
