Today is a very special day for Puri Jagannadh. This maverick director has completed 15 years in the industry today.

His first film, 'Badri', with Pawan Kalyan was released on April 20th, 2000. This film also marked the debut of Renu Desai and Ameesha Patel in Tollywood.Pawan and Renu Desai, who fell in love on the sets of this film, later got married. Puri Jaganandh was praised for his direction skills and he went on to direct many more blockbusters in Telugu. He also directed films in Kannada and Hindi. Today he is in the top league of directors.
