A longtime dream of Sameera Reddy became a reality only recently, thanks to director Lingusamy.

Sameera always loved to wear a half-sari, called as 'Thavani' in these parts. However, none of her films allowed her to do so, as they mostly featured her in the role of a modern girl, who hardly wears anything else than jeans or a salwar.

But in 'Vettai', directed by Lingusamy, featuring Madhavan, Arya, Sameera and Amala Paul in lead roles, there are a couple of scenes which required Sameera to appear in the traditional 'paavadai' and 'thavani'.

"Also there is a full song in which Sameera danced with a thavani. It will be on the lines of Konjum Mainakkaley... in Kandukonden Kandukonden, which was shot on Aishwarya Bachchan", say sources in the know.

A song in 'Vettai' features Sameera - Amala's family in the film, remember the duo play sisters? This song has been canned at a waterfall and shows how cupid strikes his arrows on these two sisters and they are smitten by Maddy and Arya.
