The entire team of ‘Vicky Donor’ are finding it too real to be true. With the movie bagging three National Awards, the team are jubilant with this unexpected triple win.

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, ‘Vicky Donor’ won Best Supporting Actor for Annu Kapoor; Best Supporting Actress for Dolly Ahluwalia and then Best Popular Film for Wholesome Entertainment.

Incidentally the Best Supporting Actress award was shared by Kalpana for Malayalam film ‘ThanichallaNjan’ as well as the Best Popular Film with Malayalam film ‘Ustad’.

‘Vicky Donor’ starred VJ turned actor Ayushmann Khurrana and debutant Yami Gautam as lead pair and in fact had been the debut production venture of John Abraham.

On ‘Vicky Donor’ winning three National awards Ayushmann remarked, "The National Award is the biggest honour a film or an artiste can get in our country. It's extremely overwhelming and I'm proud to be a part of this project which has a rare combo of quirk and credibility."

On the other hand, the director said to have done a "sperm dance" over the film’s prestigious victory. Giving out an informative concept, ‘Vicky Donor’ revolved around a guy who turns into sperm donor for money.
