After inspiring all with the delightful ‘Ferrari Ki Sawaari’, filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra next is going to come with a project that actually will be inspired from his own life.

Titled ‘Chitthiyaan’, it is said that the film’s story will be about the filmmaker and his first wife late Renu Saluja. According to sources, the film will not only highlight the relationship between him and his late wife but also the dynamics he shared with filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who allegedly was involved with Renu.

One of the prominent film editors, Renu Saluja is the younger sister of actress Radha Saluja and had been alumnus of Film and Television Institute of India like Chopra. Renu has not only worked with Chopra but also did several projects with Sudhir Mishra, Shekhar Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt and Govind Nihalani. Quoted sources, "Renu, a four-time national award winner for best editing, hadcontinued to work with Chopra even after she got involved with Mishra. And though there had been friction between the two filmmakers initially, the two are cordial with each other even today." Renu passed away in 2000 owing to stomach cancer.

Sources add that the film which needs two male actors and one female lead, apparently will have Sharman Joshi to play one of the heroes. Speculations are that Ranbir Kapoor was earlier considered for the other lead role but things didn’t seem to have worked out.

Incidentally, Mishra’s next film ‘Inkaar’, starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangdha Singh, is said to be dedicated to Renu.
