BollywoodÂs Kaahani actress Vidyabalan joins the prestigious nine member jury team at the Cannes film festival spearheaded by ace director Steven Spielberg. The other big names joining Spielberg are Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman, Life of Pi director Ang Lee, Oscar-winner Christophe Waltz, Japanese director Naomi Kawase, Scottish director Lynne Ramsay, French actor-director Daniel Auteuil and Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.
This is indeed a double delight as Cannes has invited India for celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema. Apart from Aishwarya Rai, who is a regular participant of the Cannes festival, Superstar Rajinikanth, Nandita Das and Amitabh Bachchan are also expected to be present. Amitabh has also done a cameo in ÂThe Great Gatsby which is expected to be premiered during the launch of the festival, which is on May15th.
