Remember the sexy siren who went on to become one of the most endearing artistes of Tamil cinema? Silk Smitha is still one of the most remembered faces of Tamil cinema even after her death 15 years ago.
Now the top Bollywood producer Ekta Kapoor is planning a biopic on Silk Smitha titled ÂThe Dirty PictureÂ. The producer claims the film will not focus on the sleaze but the tragedy behind unfortunate sex symbol. She also says this will be her most exhilarating and powerful production ever.
Reliable sources say Vidya Balan will live the life of Silk Smitha in ÂThe Dirty PictureÂ. When contacted, Vidya was not committal but said the director Milan Luthria had approached her for the film but it's too early to speak anything further.
As said the film will be not be about the life of a sex bomb but a study of stardom, exploitation and self-destruction. If Vidya Balan agrees to this film then this is going to be one of her most powerful roles in her career.
