The 'Dirty Picture' star Vidya Balan is now officially on Twitter. She had joined the social site some six years ago but registered it only now because many fake accounts popped up on her name.

Ace filmmaker and friend Karan Johar was the first one who welcomed Vidya on Twitter saying, "My 'Mitwa' friend ( she knows what I mean) is on Twitter!!! @vidya_balan...she deserves all the love!!!!"

Vidya Balan has her hands on Marathi films right now, where she is doing a biopic on the late actor cum director Bhagwan Dada. She will be playing the beautiful Geeta Bali. This 37-years-old actress was last seen in Hamari Adhuri Kahani` with Emraan Hashmi in the lead.
