Young actor Vidya Pradeep who has acted in notable supporting roles in 'Aval Peyar Tamilarasi', 'Saivam', 'Pasanga 2' and the recent 'Achamindri' has been elevated to the female lead role alongside a dashing young hero.

Vidya will be playing one of the two heroines opposite Atharvaa in 'Othaikku Oththa' directed by debutant Barnesh, a former associate of Pa.Ranjith.

Both and Vidya and Atharvaa will be seen as college sweethearts in the film touted to be an action entertainer set in a college campus.

Vidya will be playing a small town girl in the film which has Thiagarajan and Narain in other important roles. The suitable girl for the other heroine in the film is yet to be locked.

The shooting of 'Othaikku Oththa' is progressing rapidly.
