Born to actor Mohan Ram, Vidyullekha entered the industry with none of that influence and hype when she debuted in Gautam Menon's 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham'. As is well known, she went on to become an established actress with her unique role in 'Theeya Velai Seiyannum Kumaru'.

The latest on the actress is that she is really going places. Earlier, she confirmed being a part of Ajith's 54th film, directed by 'Siruthai' Siva, and now she has declared that she is a part of Vijay's upcoming film, 'Jilla' too. Excited about being a part of the film directed by Nesan, the actress tweeted "Happy to announce that I am doing a "different" comic role in #JILLAstarting Vijay, Kajal & Mohan Lal. Shooting starts shorty!!"
